Katie is a Colorado native and Licensed Professional Counselor who earned her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Metropolitan State University of Denver and her Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Northern Colorado in 2018.
Katie’s therapeutic approach is neuroaffirming, systemic, and integrative. She draws from a range of evidence-based modalities to meet each person where they are, tailoring her work to each client’s unique needs and goals. Katie emphasizes creating a consistent, supportive, and collaborative space where clients feel understood, respected, and free of pressure or judgment. Her approach is strengths-based and focused on helping clients feel empowered in their own process.
She works with clients of all ages and has experience supporting individuals, couples, and families through anxiety, depression, trauma, PTSD, ADHD, autism, emotional regulation challenges, parenting stress, self-esteem concerns, and relationship difficulties.
Animals are a meaningful part of Katie’s therapeutic work. She has experienced firsthand their calming and grounding presence and values the way they help clients feel more connected, regulated, and open in the therapeutic process.
Outside of her work, Katie values family life with her husband, three children, and their animals, along with the slower rhythm that comes after busy school and work weeks. Her faith and spirituality are an important part of her life.
