Animal Assisted Therapy Ranch
"Let a horse whisper in your ear and breathe on your heart. You will never regret it."
Hialeah was born on March 9, 2004. She was bred to be a Western Pleasure Quarter Horse. Hialeah never became the show horse she was intended to be, as she was a “forward mover” meaning she liked “to go” and this is not a characteristic prized in Western Pleasure horses.
By no fault of her own Hialeah was passed back and forth between several different owners before finding her way to Finding Hiawatha Animal Assisted Therapy Ranch inJanuary 2017 as a cotherapist.
Hialeah is no longer able to move quickly as she has arthritis, most likely due to her breeding. When Hialeah is not struggling with arthritic pain, she is joyfully connecting with clients
